about

On “Why We Need Night,” our third release, we wanted to continue exploring proven terrain but also map out an evolving sound. And so at times throughout the EP we strip away some of the epic layers of our first album to expose the intimacy of a beautiful guitar line, the gravity of a simple piano progression, or the emotion and lyricism of a vocal performance. This EP is full of dynamic rhythms, and a broader range of analog and acoustic keyboards, and electronic elements. This EP is definitely an important exploration of the space where our instrumental rock and shoegaze influences meet a more mainstream indie rock sound.
